From the information I've gathered, Snoopstar seems to be Bertelsmann
s answer to any problems that may arise if and when Napster
is forced to close down.
According to the technology press, Snoopstar is based on a similar peer-to-peer architecture, and also has the ability to interface with iMesh, Gnutella and Napster networks to enable the exchange of music, video and other popular file formats. The companies logo, a smiling dog, is even similar to Napsters cat emblem. The product is (apparently) in beta testing stage at the moment, for more information interested parties should check www.snoopstar.com
