A renaissance poem by anonymous, one of my favorites.
(spelled correctly, in the middle english it came in, well phonetically at least)

Sumer is ycombin in
Loude sing cuckou
Groweth seed and bloweth meed
And springeth the wode new
Sing Cuckou!

Ewe bleeteth after lamb
Loweth after calve cow
Bulloc stirteth, bucke verteth
Merye sing cuckou!

Cuckou, Cuckou,
Wel singest thou cuckou
Ne swik thou never now!

Wode = Woods
New = Now
Stirteth = Starts / Leaps
Verteth = Farts
swik = cease
