Theodor Geisel, and he was political
cartoonist during
World War II. He went on to write arguably the most revolutionary and imaginative children's books ever. He once wrote a book on a bet that he could do so without using more than
50 distinct words. He also created many, many
nonsensical phrases and words, and his art for the
books was like a cartoony
