Mohammed Ali Jinnah

Mohammed Ali Jinnah was born in Karachi, Pakistan and is the founder of Pakistan. He joined the Muslim League in 1913, and quickly rose to the position of President in 1916. From the mid-1930s, he pushed hard for an independent state of Pakistan. The state would divide Muslims and Hindus in Pakistan. He strongly supported Britain's efforts in World War 2 (WW2) and on August 14, 1947, Pakistan was declared an independent nation. The following day, India declared its independence. Jinnah died in 1948, a year after achieving his goal.
