U.S. Highway 70



History/Info

US 70 was one of the 2 transcontinental highways that ended in Los Angeles. However, despite being one of the original highways comissioned, it did not become that way until 1936 and was co-signed with US 99 and 60 for most of its route through California and it did not split with US 60 until Globe, Arizona, its current western end. Today US 70 services many parts of the nation that probably will never have a interstate highway.
