Ivybridge is a very nice Devon town just outside Plymouth and on the borders of Dartmoor in the UK. It has a small shopping centre and a lesure centre. Many of the less traveled Plymothians view it as the edge of the known world.

For most of it's existance it has been an unremarkable village, but in the late 1990s it gained a claim to fame by becoming the fastest growing town in Europe. This fact brings to mind images of a rapidly expanding industialised urban environment. If you go there however you will find a small quiet suburban settlement. You see, it is easy to expand by 300% when there is hardly anything there in the first place.
