The
Hugo Award is awarded based upon voting by
Science Fiction fans, especially those who attend the yearly
World Science Fiction Convention.
This distinguishes it from the
Nebula Award which is awarded based upon votes from other SF
Authors, and the
John W. Campbell Award which is decided by SF
Publishers.
