Cinchonism,
a group of symptoms, chiefly connected with the nervous system, produced by the presence of quinine in the system. There are noises in the ears. These noises are accompanied with more or less deafness. Affections of sight are less common. These symptoms usually pass away in a few days after discontinuing the drug.
