The sun sets down on hope's horizon.
Everything looks bleak.
Darkness falls on faith's dominion,
sadness has hit its peak.

But don't despair, O fledgling one,
for the world, it will turn.
The sun will rise anew, my son,
And hope, again, will burn.

The moon now hides the sparkling star,
the shining sun of dreams.
A thunderstorm comes from afar,
bursting at the seams.

But worry not, O youngest one,
for thunderstorms will end.
The moon will fall again, my son,
and broken hearts will mend.

Written for a friend of mine, in a troubled relationship.
