This prescription drug (sold under names such as Symmetrel) is used to treat Parkinson's syndrome; it is believed to work by releasing dopamine from nerve endings. This drug should not be taken by pregnant women or by nursing mothers. It can cause side effects such as nausea, dizziness, insomnia, depression and other mood problems.
