In English, 'super realism' is an acceptable translation, although the use of the word 'super' tends to make people think of the photo-realistic school of painting.

Many surrealist painters were capable of photo-realism, although whereas photo-realists attempt to amplify reality through detail, the surrealists wanted to subvert the very notion of 'reality'.
