Gingerly, according to Marriam-Webster's Word of the Day (January 25, 2001), is also an adjective. For example:
"I made a gingerly attempt to find a node that described jamming a pair of scissors into your crotch repeatedly."
This surprised me greatly, but as it's from M-W, I assume it is probably true. The Word of the Day also gives a different etymology of the word than our good friend Webster 1913 has, saying that it could be derived either from the word ginger or from an Old French word gensor, "delicate."
