A group of
fungi that eat
insects and other small creatures. For instance, the
Zoophagus insidians lives in
water, and sports several short,
tasty looking brances called
hyphae. When tiny
rotifers try to take a bite out of hyphae, they get tangled up in it.
insidians then squirts some
digestive secretions on the creature and absorbs the goodies.
