winamp skins

Packages of bitmap images that change the look of the MP3 player Winamp. There are skins to fit any desktop theme, from nekkid anime women to goth/industrial looking variations on black. Winamp skins are compatible with XMMS, so Linux geeks can join in the theme-geekery too.

Winamp skins are faces or coverings for winamp MP3 player that give your computer a theme or just make winamp better to look at. There are two (2) types of files to winamp skins for the most part. .txt files and .bmp files.

*.TXT FILES:

• "viscolor.txt" - This changes the colors of your spectrum and oscilliscope. This file is 24 rows each having 3 values that when combined make a 256 RGB color. The first 2 lines are background color, and the last 2 are oscilliscope color. Everything between is specrum color.
• "pledit.txt" - This changes the color of your playlist. It has 5 lines: Normal Background color, Selected track background color, Normal font color, current (playing] track color, and font (face).
• "region.txt" - This changes the region of win amp itself. It restrict the size by telling winamp to cut out certain pixels of the displayed skin.

*.BMP FILES:

• "eqmain.bmp" - Full Size Equalizer
• "titlebar.bmp" - Title bar for skin
• "eq_ex.bmp" - Reduced Equalizer
• "pledit" - Play list frame and buttons
• "mb.bmp" - Mini-browser frame
• "main.bmp" - Main Display Images
• "cbuttons" - Stop, play, Pause, FF, Reverse, button
• "text.bmp" - Marquee text
• "volume.bmp" - Volume bar and slider
• "nums_ex.bmp" - Numbers for timer
• "shufrep.bmp" - Shuffle and Repeat buttons
• "monoster.bmp" - Mono and stereo buttons
• "posbar.bmp" - Track position slider and bar
• "balance.bmp" - Right left balance bar and slider
• "playpause.bmp" - Play and pause indicators
• "avs.bmp" - Visual effects frame

Skins can also have custom visual effects and cursors as well as the items listed above.
