busking, a walk-by act is one in which the performer does the show continuously for a long period of time, with no beginning or end. They leave the
hat out, and
people throw money in if they like what is going on.

Easier to do than a circle show, but makes much less money. And it's gruelling -- you spend most of your time performing for nobody.
