Describing something as prior to the invention of
agriculture.
Pretty much anything human related that existed more that seven or eight thousand years ago can be described as preagrarian. However, in terms of describing
modern cultures, the term takes on a certain imperialistic tone, assuming that all cultures must naturally adopt agriculture in order to advance up the mythical
great chain of being.
