LTC4 synthase is the enzyme responsible for catalysing the conjugation of leukotriene A4 to glutathione to produce leukotriene C4. LTC4 synthase is a glutathione S-transferase derivative that is selective for LTA4. It is found in a limited number of cell types such as eosinophils, mast cells, basophils and monocyte-macrophages.
