The Left ventricle is the chamber of the heart that pumps blood out to the rest of the body. It is the strongest part of the heart and has the thickest walls.
After recieving the newly oxygenated blood from the left atrium, the left ventricle contracts, launching the blood out to the aorta and on to the rest of the body.
