"Art" foisted off on tourists to New Mexico. They are almost impossible to avoid--every art gallery, souvenir stand, and tourist trap in the state has a whole section dedicated to the damn howling coyotes. They are nothing more than wooden cutouts of silhouetted coyotes with their muzzles raised in a silent howl. They have a wooden base, so you can stand them upright. They are usually painted bright pink or turquoise (so they'll look more "Southwestern"), and they usually wear a small bandana around their throats. Gah, they're horrible.
