In the weeks leading up to "Go Live" much web surfing is done, long lunch breaks are taken and many change requests are happily put at the bottom of large piles of paper.
In the days just prior to "Go Live" much overtime is worked, many meetings are scheduled with management who are concerned that the whole thing seems to be falling apart at the seems and none of the change requests have been included.
On the day of "Go Live" make sure you've organised some holidays or an urgent dentists appointment. Or hide in the toilet if all else fails.
