global Top Level Domains. These are the set of country code extensions recognizable by DNS. .fr is for France, for instance, and .ca is for Canada. So Yahoo's French web site is at www.yahoo.fr, and their Canadian web site is at www.yahoo.ca. Get it? You can sometimes do fun things with country extensions and DNS. Tonga's .to: (come.to/me), Armenia's .am: (up@3.am), Libya's .ly (i.am.friend.ly), etc...
