Freaky-fruit-makers. This company now holds over 90 U.S. patents on crazyass new plants. Their commercial varieties produce millions of boxes of fruit each year in the USA, plus more produced and sold overseas. Each year the Zaigers plant at least 50,000 new seedlings and then go nutty with figuring out crossing which with whom does what, and refining the results. Blame them for the pluot, the aprium, and the Citation and Viking rootstocks.

The experimental test orchards are located in Modesto, California, and the pubic may tour them through the summer.
