20 oz water in which a
cabbage has been boiled
4 large slices of
bread
3/4 C
white wine vinegar
2 tsp powdered
ginger
1/2 tsp
saffron or 1 tsp
turmeric
salt
Toast or grill the bread. Put it in a saucepan, soak it, then mash it. Add the spices and bring to a boil. Then, add the vinegar and simmer until the sauce is thick. Adjust salt to taste.
