Stepping out of the coffee shop
and venturing into the bitter void,
biting and nipping at your face
Snow drifts down, finding refuge in the texture of your sweater,
and the streetlights showcase a performance,
the little flakes streaming down by the thousands

A feeling that someone's behind you,
turn around, nothing
Jumping at the slightest sound,
but it must be nothing

Walk up to your front door,
and the world goes pitch black
