One of the older types of
Yamaha digital wind controllers. I have one of these and am very happy with it. Musical expression allows one to vent many a miserable and wonderful emotion. It has the fingering of a sax, the mouthpeice is like a sax - with its own reed, and allows air to pass through (albeit with more constriction than a sax - probably closer to an oboe...which I wouldn't know).
The instrument then codes the signals produced by the various technology and sends MIDI out to an awaiting synth, which then produces the sound for it. I us either a QY-20 or an archaic FM synth box to make sounds.
Anyway my dream setup would be the QY-70, a VL-70m, an MU-90R, and the WX-5. But I'll need some free cash first...
