In full Lady Valerie of Mercia, a Lysinda Circle Vampire from Sluggy Freelance fell in love with Torg due to his resemblance to her dead husband Lord Torgamus De Saxones. She turned Sam into a vampire and attempted to turn both Torg and Zoë. She was staked and left in the sun along with all the Lysinda vampires except Sam. When she was alive she lived in Medieval England (I think Mercia was in the north-east).
