USAA, or the United Services Automobile Association (they go by the acronym), is an provider of insurance, banking, and investment services for American military personnel and their families. USAA has existed since 1922 and currently has 4.7 million members. It is a Fortune 500 company with over $60 billion in assets, and based in San Antonio, Texas.
Active duty, reserve, and National Guard enlisted men and women, officers, and officer candidates and their families can become members. Members have access to property and casualty insurance, full banking services, brokerage services and mutual funds, financial planning, and an number of other services, including the occasional sale of jewelry.
Their logo is a stylized eagle, representing their connection to the US armed forces.
