The
Tjörnin is either a small lake or a large pond (depending on your level of
optimism), in downtown
Reykjavik, right next to the City Hall. The Children come with their Mums and Dads to feed the Ducklings. It is a lovely sight, really. And come winder, when the pond freezes over, one can
skate on the
ice. But not the
ducklings. True, they wear their own jackets, but it isn't quite enough, you see. For sometimes these winters are very harsh, with strong winds and freeing rain. And so, sometimes, even the little quack-quacks must say their last good-byes.
