I presently recline,
hearing the quiet whispers of meaningless internal chatter
and feeling a sedation that I do not wish to overcome,
for I now gladly relinquish my exasperation, accumulated throughout the toiling day,
to see a blank slate given in return when I come back to my senses.
The sheets deliver a loving embrace as my last thought dissipates into the dark,
the honor of a great slumber bestowed upon me by the fairies once more.
