Praam (?), n. [D. praam; cf. G. prahm, F. prame; all of Slavonic origin, from a word akin to E. fare. See Fare.] Naut.

A flat-bottomed boat or lighter, -- used in Holland and the Baltic, and sometimes armed in case of war.
