Latin for flat foot. A medical condition where more of the foot's surface is in contact with the ground than is optimal. The condition can be identified with a foot scan or visual inspection. The incidence of Pes planus is high but in most cases it causes no significant problems. However if pain is experienced it can be relieved with orthotics, the condition itself though is not curable.
