Nicholas Lea is the
Canadian actor who plays
Alex Krycek in
The X-Files. He was born Nicholas Christopher Schroeder in 1962 in
British Columbia.
Nicholas Lea also starred as Victor Mansfield in the Action Comedy TV Series "Once a Thief" (based on "John Woo's Once a Thief"), which ran for one (22 episode) season (1997-98). It included an X-Files parody episode called "The Director Files". I do not think this series has been shown in the US.
Nicholas Lea also played Michael a character in the first season X-Files episode "GenderBender".
In The X-Files Krychek was one of those responsible for the death of Scully's sister Melissa. Melissa was played by Melinda McGraw who in real life was Nicholas Lea's partner at the time. They also both had recurring parts in the early 1990's police comedy drama "The Commish" (Nicholas as Officer Ricky Caruso and Melinda as Detective Cyd Madison).
He used to sing with the Canadian alternative rock band "Beau Monde".
