The National Union of Farmers is the representative body for British farmers, but its not a trade union. It does however employ around 450 staff around the United Kingdom what are known as Group Secretaries that act as regional representatives both for the Union itself and its insurance arm NFU Mutual.

These Group Secretaries have their own little union which is registered as an independent trade union but is not affiliated to the Trades Union Congress or any political party.
