Mal`a*cob*del"la (?), n. [NL., fr. Gr. soft + a leech.] Zool.

A genus of nemertean worms, parasitic in the gill cavity of clams and other bivalves. They have a large posterior sucker, like that of a leech. See Illust. of Bdellomorpha.
