LFC is the abbreviated form of Liverpool Football Club in the English Premier League.

Well known for their fervent support all round the world, especially in East Asia and Skandinavia and their distinctive all-red playing strip which was originally adopted to make the team look more intimidating.

Liverpool were at their most successful in the 1960's, 70's and 80's amassing a string of championship's under two of the greatest managers in the English game, Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley.

In recent years, they have been somewhat overshadowed by their much-hated rivals Manchester United though can still boast two of the finest strikers in Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen.

The club song "You'll never walk alone" popularised in the 1960's by Liverpool band, Gerry and the Pacemakers, is one of the most recognisable in the modern game.

LFC is the abbreviation of Liverpool Football Club, which participates currently(2008) in the English Premier League.

The club has a British record of 18 League titles, and 5 European Championship titles. They are also the most successful side to have played in the lesser values English League Cup.

Liverpool have not won the English First Division ever since the Premiership era. Although still considered the most successful english club, They have been massively overshadowed by the achievements of Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC and most notably Manchester United, Liverpool's chief rivals.

Liverpool have always possessed some of the best English striking talents in the form of Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen. However it has been the arrival of Fernando Torres from Spain, and his almost telepathic understanding with the club's living legend Steven Gerrard, that has finally put the club back on track as worthy title contenders.

The 2008-09 season had seen the resurgence of LFC as one of Europe's best as they thrashed some of the best teams on the continent in explosive fashion. Including a memorable week where they trounced Real Madrid 4-0 and followed it up with a 4-1 away win at Old Trafford against arch rivals Manchester United. However their pursuit of the premier league title remains elusive, as Manchester United beat them to the finish line by 4 points. This marks Liverpool's best season ever in the Premier league, and marks them as firm title challengers for seasons to come.
