Trent University's slogan describes it as a "liberal arts and sciences university". The most trivial interpretation of this is "(liberal arts) and sciences"; however, I believe that it can also be interpreted as "liberal (arts and sciences)" = "liberal arts and liberal sciences".
What are liberal sciences you ask? We could assume that Trent is true to its slogan: it has no Engineering department and the Computer Science department was created after the drafting of said slogan. However I will postulate a more interesting definition:
