Loyola Marymount University's
radio station call letters. They are at 89.9 in the
West Los Angeles area. The are one of the few radio stations that are still
independent and registered with the
FCC. They receive no funding from the
school and are not affiliated with
NPR or any other
national radio group. They raise their money through
fundraising.
Their programming consists mostly of indie rock during the day and classical in the early evenening(Early Evening Concert). After this each night has a different variety of shows that cover absolutely every spectrum of music. Weekends are covered by the multiple award winning Alma Del Barrio, which is mostly Latin Salsa. The other shows on weekends are usually Latin/Cuban jazz.
