A crappy mall-based toy store chain. Stocked items are usually lame, closeout crap that is way overpriced. Primary customer base is dumb old women who don't really know what their grandkids want. Secondary customer base is mallrat scum who steal as much merchandise as they buy. Was engaged in a 1999 business deal with etoys.com to start kbkids.com. This start-up was never very profitable, and ended up laying off about 2500 people in the year 2000. Also known as: Kaufman Bros. Toy Store, Kay-Bee Toy and Hobby, and Kay Bee Toys.
