There are legends about four people of this name:
- HARPALYCE's father.
- A son of Lycaon.
- In the Aeneid, one of Aeneas' companions, who was slain by Camillus during the campaign against Turnus and the Rutuli.
- Theocritus mentions another Harpalycus who taught Heracles fencing and gymnastics.
