Expatriate pom who found fame as an Australian comedian and the exception to the universal rule that mimes cannot be funny. He was a stalwart of The Big Gig with his characters Pate Biscuit (a send-up of Australian children's entertainer Patsy Biscoe) and Sgt. Smith, also hosting the show (as himself) on several occasions.

His more recent work, The Plumber's Opera, Kissing Frogs, The Complete Works of Shakespeare and Certified Male incorporate standup, mime and song into theatrical spectaculars that manage to be touching, poignant and hilarious.
