The further adventures of the people who brought us the software which was used in the first phase of the United Devices cancer project. The developers have gone their own way and have founded the relatively new Find-A-Drug project.

Find-a-Drug is possibly the most wide-ranging of all current distributed computing endeavors. Current research includes SARS, Multiple Sclerosis, antidotes for bioterrorism agents, and further research on cancer. Further projects are being added as time goes on, with herbicide research and AIDS as only two examples. It is a relatively young and small project when compared with SETI@home or United Devices, with only a few thousand members at the time of this writing. Despite this, the wide range of potentially useful research makes this project worth having at least a look at.
