Duvetyne is a black cloth that is commonly used in theater. Duvetyne or "doov" or "commando cloth", is a light weight less expensive substitute for velour. Its usefullness is due to its ability to prevent light from shining through it. Making it ideal for blocking light from places it shouldn't appear, such as through a truss or lighting tree or a small crack in part of a set piece. I don't think duvetyne can burn easily.
