Stands for The Division of Housing and Food Service. At the University of Texas at Austin, DHFS is in charge of the dorms and the dorm cafeterias. DHFS is an auxillary entity. Roughly 6,100 students live in the dorms.

The people who work in all but the lower levels of DHFS are completely evil. Just to find out, try calling 512-471-3136 and asking "Why is it agains the rules for me to circulate a petition in the dorms without getting your approval first?" or "I feel that the disparity in quality of living spaces between the sexes violates my rights under Title IX."
