Cowpunk is like
rockabilly, only
harder. The
practitioners of this
subgenre of
punk have
hardcore punk sensabilities, with easier to
listen to sounds than
hardcore artists. All the
edginess of hardcore with less of a
headache.
It's difficult to find the line between cowpunk, rockabilly, psychobilly, etc, but I figure, why bother? If it rocks hard, with a country edge, it's cowpunk in my book.
