In the UK, a bottle bank is a communal bin or skip (dumpster, if you are an American) for recycling bottles. It is common to have multiple bins or slots for different types of glass. The term bottle bank is frequently used to refer to recycling drop-off spots that accept types of recycling other than glass, including in some cases donations such as old clothes.

In America there is no standard term for this sort of thing, although the phrase recycling center would be generally recognized.
