Bob Young chairs one of the top Linux distribution software companies, Red Hat. He graduated with a history degree from the University of Toronto and prior to his career as a Linux populizer, he worked as a computer hardware salesman in Toronto. He stumbled into Linux in the early 1990s and founded Red Hat in 1994 with Mark Ewing.

His vision of the big picture future of Linux:
Our big-picture model is not to convince 400 million PC users to unplug Windows or Mac OS and install Red Hat Linux It's to help build appliances for the other 6 billion people who don't want to own a PC.
