The Bionic Tower is an
uber-
extreme tower to be built in
Shanghai,
China sometime this
century (21st). It's designers are apperently
european, and the tower itself is being built to overcome the massive
overcrowding of Shanghai. It will house aboutly one hundred thousand (
100000) people (!!). It will be 300
storys, and 3700 feet high. (approx).
There are plans for 368
lifts (
elevators..), an
artificial lake to absorb tremors, a 3000 feet wide concrete structure at the bottom and the first inhabitants could move in as soon as the first level is done. It would be 15 years before the
building work above them actually stopped though.
It looks like a
zeppelin airship, slammed into the ground, and then streched a little.
