2,3,4-trimethylpentane is one of the cleanest burning octanes (compounds including eight carbons). It is commonly found in gasoline, which one finds useful when powering a vehicle such as a car. It should be noted that 2,3,4-trimethylpentane, like any octane, should not be orally consumed. The combustion is highly exothermic, being a fuel.
