mi2 - Multimedia Institute is a non-profit, non-govermental organization based in Zagreb, CROATIA. It was founded in the mid 1999 out of Soros Open Society's - Internet programm. Firstly concived as educational-training facility and later transformmed into an organization who's main field of activity is convergence of culture and technology, with aims from promoting computer literacy and advanced media technologies (especially in the fields of web publishing and netcasting) up to presenting new art practices (net.art) and critical media theory.
