I wrote this poem after my horseback riding lesson today. I wish the snow would go away so I could ride outside but for now, the small jumps in the indoor ring will have to do. I feel great and I hope all of you get to experience the thrill of jumping at least once in your lives. Life is Good.

Flying
Head up and heels down
The wind in my face
I watch the world blur by
With a smile on my face
I can feel the muscles move beneath me
The very beginings of strain
The heavier, laboring stride
Taking the place of lighter movement
Reluctantly, I sit back
Tightening the reins
Grounded once more
But happy
Because with him,
I can fly.
